Pastor Norries A. Hood Sr, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, the proud son of Mr. James and Edith Hood. Pastor Hood confessed Christ at the age of fourteen and accepted his call to the ministry at the age of twenty-six. He was a faithful and active member at Temple Baptist Church and served as their interim pastor for two years. Embracing the ministry call on his life, Pastor Hood enrolled in the Bible Baptist Institute, receiving a Master’s Bible Diploma along with certifications of completion in Biblical Doctrine, Missions, and Evangelism.   

While in Steubenville, Ohio, he served as a community leader. Was a dedicated member of the Ministers Alliance. In addition to serving as a Spiritual Instructor for the male prisoners at the Steubenville City Jail and Belmont Correctional Institute of Belmont, Ohio.  

Pastor Hood was recognized as a faithful servant for 15 years at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Steubenville, Ohio. Being led by the Holy Spirit, In August of 2016, Pastor Hood accepted his call to pastor the Second Mt Olive Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio, where he currently serves as Lead Servant.  

Proud father of two beautiful children, Norries Jr. and Tiana Nicole, and grandfather, too little Ethen.
